Research shows that every time you practice in a formal or informal way you are rewiring and strengthening new neural pathways in your brain--like muscles. So let’s work out those muscles, shall we?

In this meditation we take an extra look at what it means to bring a kind and curious attention to not only our meditation, but to our lives as well.

In this meditation we take an extra look at the idea of a willingness to be with what is. This concept is also referred to as equanimity, or a state of balance, even-mindedness, or a sense of stability and calm amidst the changing nature of life.

In this meditation I discuss the concept of “the second arrow”. It’s a Buddhist concept that a difficult event is the first arrow that hits us. We can’t control this first arrow, we will be hit in life. But then there is our reaction to the first arrow, this is called the second arrow. And this is often where so much of our suffering comes in.

In this meditation, we get to know our habits as we explore labeling the thoughts as they come up. It can be interesting to start to become aware of the nature of our minds wandering. With a gentle touch we can label the type of thought we are having. Maybe you will start to notice patterns of where your mind often goes. It can be interesting and helpful information to know how your own brain operates.

In this meditation, we get in touch with, and experience how we can rely upon, our “most intimate and constant companion” of our breath to help us rest, recharge, and show up fully to the world and the work that needs to be done.

In this meditation, I share a practice of cultivating that resource in our own bodies so we can turn towards whatever we are experiencing the present moment. We practice saying hello to what is here so we have the bravery to show up for the challenging moments.

In this meditation, I share a practice to soften towards our humanity. It’s a humanity we all share, which is more clear now than ever. We are experiencing so much at a global level and I have been taught that the more I open my heart to the reality of the human condition, rather than fighting it, the more I am able to feel compassion for myself and all of my fellow humans.

In this meditation, I share a practice for cultivating gratitude. Gratitude is an antidote to overwhelm, judgment, and comparison. And it's been shown that gratitude helps us be more resilient and have more joy, ease, and happiness.

The fear and anxiety are so real right now and I wanted to offer a meditation with some distance Reiki healing to give you a few moments of refuge. In this 10-minute mindfulness meditation, we will ground, relax, and breathe to let the anxiety dissipate, even if for a moment.
