Life as a 'Daring Adventure' + a Big Announcement!

I want to share a quote I read this morning, not for the first time, but it always manages to strike a chord in me.

"Avoiding danger is no safer in the long run than outright exposure. Life is either a daring adventure or nothing." -Helen Keller

As I've shared before, I used to navigate the world trying to make as few waves as possible. My ultimate goal was to avoid any danger or threat of being hurt. After experiencing some trauma and heartache while growing up, I made a (mostly unconscious) pact with myself to protect my heart at all costs moving forward. Fear (of danger, of heartache, of further trauma, etc., etc.) ran my life.

Eventually, my heart and its desires to actually live and enjoy life grew big enough to help me step out of the small bubble I was living in and start taking chances. To put myself out there, take risks, and chance further heartbreak by being in intimate relationships and pursuing my passions. All of the best things in my life have been SCARY at times. Moving to a new place, falling in love, getting married, and embarking on a new career...I have so much pride for how I was, and continue to be, able to walk through the fear knowing the risk is worth it. That the risks align me with my heart and soul.

I did none of these things alone. I have some of the most wonderful and supportive family, friends, teachers, mentors, and guides a girl could ask for. And I honor them today by celebrating how far I've come and enjoying the excitement of a new chapter. A chapter I'm so excited to share with you today!

I am happy to finally announce that I have collaborated with Fabletics to create meditations for their brand new fitness app Fableics Fit. I created and recorded (on the floor of my closet during lockdown) over 50 meditations for the app to help support you with whatever you might be walking through today. Whether you need relief from anxiety, support drifting off to sleep, or help focusing, there is a meditation for you! There's also a fun 10-day intro to meditation series I created for beginners or those looking to refresh their practice.

You can take advantage of a free 7-day trial to explore all the app has to offer. While I may be partial to the meditations, I have also been loving the super-diverse offering of workout classes. Yoga is my go-to, but the dance cardio sessions are also good for my heart, soul, and ego (it's about how it makes you FEEL now how you look doing it right?!). Check out a peek of the app below.

My goal is always to help you "practice what matters" and I'm so grateful to Fabletics for this platform to do it! I will be creating more meditations for the app soon, so let me know what you like and what you want to see next!

Each day I wake up and have to choose to participate in this daring adventure of life. It's not always easy to be vulnerable, take chances and pursue my dreams. But today I am so grateful for all of it.

Hope to meditate with you soon. ❤️
