I am so excited to share that I am launching a new (expanded) offering this week! But first, I want to give a little background.
Read MoreI was driving the other day thinking, as I so often do, about anxiety. I have such a long history with anxiety and I'm often having to reflect and un-learn old beliefs around my relationship with it.
Read MoreI am grateful for a new month and the start of spring. I love any chance to slow down, reflect, and set intentions for myself so this weekend's full moon and today's fresh month have been a great chance to do that! Journaling, meditation, "moon" baths, and pulling cards from my various decks are some of the rituals I like to do and I wanted to share a bit about what they brought up for me this week!
Read MoreOur minds, which are constantly thinking, processing, analyzing, and generally running our lives, may just be the "dirtiest" of all! And what's more, how can I expect to tackle today's fresh challenges through the dirty film of yesterday's work?
Read MoreI am happy to finally announce that I have collaborated with Fabletics to create meditations for their brand new fitness app Fableics Fit. I created and recorded (on the floor of my closet during lockdown) over 50 meditations for the app to help support you with whatever you might be walking through today. Whether you need relief from anxiety, support drifting off to sleep, or help focusing, there is a meditation for you!
Read MoreAs a perfectionist, I have this sticky habit of always wanting to "graduate" from things. Meaning, I complete a thing (task, healing, learning, etc.) and then check it off the list, able to move on in perfect harmony. Forever. lol.
Read MoreI have always been a deeply empathic person, like a sponge soaking up other people's stuff in hopes of lightening their load. For most of my life, I have wanted to help others and ease suffering, so I absorbed and absorbed. Combined with little ability to take good care of myself, this habit seriously affected my well-being. It had me struggling with anxiety and depression that I wasn't even always sure was mine.
Read MoreI keep getting the *loving* reminder from all directions to lean more into trust in all parts of my life. As a recovering perfectionist, this isn’t easy for me. The act of trusting feels like letting go of the control I learned to rely on to feel safe in the world. If I’m not focused on every possible outcome of every possible scenario, how will I be ok?!?! More specifically, if I'm not preparing for every disaster that could happen, how will I survive it? And I think this busy, distracted frame of mind just became a habit. An uncomfortable, yet familiar, habit.
Read MoreThe start of this new year has naturally had me thinking about the term 'practice' and reflecting/remembering why I choose to put this word in the title of my business. It's a selfish move in some ways, a constant reminder of this very important idea in my life. Not only important for my wellbeing but important for me to share with others. I feel we could all use a little more practice in our lives.
Read MoreI am sure I'm not alone in the relief I feel entering this new year. It's less some dream that everything will be different right away (sigh, it won't) and more pride that I made it through 2020. We walked through so much as a collective last year and are still here to talk about, and learn from, it.
Read MoreReiki is a form of complementary, or alternative, medicine that works alongside traditional medicine to enhance the body's ability to heal itself. Other examples of complementary medicine are acupuncture and chiropractic medicine. In my opinion, these are never to be used instead of traditional medicine but as a supplement for your healing process (especially when you feel you've hit an emotional or spiritual wall that western science just can't cover).
